CHVRCHES are officially back and they're returning with considerably sharper teeth on explosive new single ‘Roses’.
Arriving five years after their last album, the track reunites Lauren Mayberry, Martin Doherty and Iain Cook for the beginning of what promises to be a dramatically different chapter. Premiered as BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record, ‘Roses’ pushes the trio beyond their familiar synth-pop territory into a bigger, harder-edged rock sound.
According to Mayberry, the band's extended break left them determined not to revisit territory they had already explored. Instead, their return became an opportunity to push the project somewhere genuinely new, resulting in what she describes as CHVRCHES' most coherent creative vision yet.
