Finnish electronic alt-pop artist Conchis makes a striking return with ‘Streetlights’, an emotionally intense new single that introduces her forthcoming second album 'Gravity', due later this year.
Arriving two years after her acclaimed debut album 'Chapters', the new release marks the beginning of a deeply personal and creatively ambitious chapter. Written during a period of severe illness that left her largely confined to her home, 'Gravity' emerged under extraordinary circumstances. Unable to create music through conventional methods, she began composing entire songs mentally, building arrangements, melodies, and lyrics internally before eventually bringing them to life in the studio.
At its core, ‘Streetlights’ explores the emotional exhaustion of being trapped in a relationship that continually repeats the same patterns. Its recurring melodies and restless momentum mirror the feeling of revisiting familiar conflicts, unable to fully break free from a cycle that has long since lost its direction.
Produced and mixed by Jonas Verwijnen and mastered by Henkka Niemistö, the single highlights the evolution of Conchis’ sound, pushing further into textured electronic territory while retaining the emotional depth that earned widespread praise for 'Chapters'.
