Berlin-based project Cosmic Anxiety have introduced their debut single 'The Crack in My Heart', marking the duo’s official entry into the music scene following their formation in October 2025.
The song brings together lyricist and vocalist Eli with producer Gasher, who composed the instrumental and handled the track’s production. Written in a single afternoon, the lyrics reflect on the pressures and emotional disconnection often felt in contemporary life, touching on themes such as social performance, isolation, and the erosion of empathy.
Musically, the project is driven by electronic tools, with Gasher creating the soundscape using a Synthstrom Deluge. The visual side of the release was also crafted in-house, with the single’s artwork designed by Gasher using 3D software Blender.
Cosmic Anxiety describe themselves as a two-member Berlin outfit built around Eli and Gasher alongside a collection of synthesisers. With 'The Crack in My Heart', the group introduces a concept rooted in electronic experimentation while raising questions about humanity, connection, and the emotional landscape of modern society.
