COW unveil new EP 'When The Darkness Gets You Down'

Having already cemented themselves as one of the more exciting new names emerging right now, which has included praise from the likes of BBC Radio Wales and Louder Than War Radio, Liverpool's COW have now returned to deliver their highly-anticipated new EP 'When The Darkness Gets You Down'.

Including the previous shared single 'Notemakers', the new four-track collection was largely influenced by the farewell suicide notes of writers such as Hunter S Thompson. Despite its bleak and depressed inspiration, 'When The Darkness Gets You Down' still mangoes to deliver a bold and euphoric texture between the lines. Channelling a broad and eclectic mix of post-rock, post-punk, and indie-rock aesthetics throughout, their newest material is a raw and intrinsic look into their own compelling mindset.

Marking their first expanded release since 2019's 'All My Friends Are Dead To Me', it is clear that COW are looking to focus on the more narrative-driven side of the scene. With a warm and inviting sound that dabbles in both nostalgic and contemporary entities, they make for captivating listening that rarely falters throughout.
