And with 'Meet Me In The Rain', singer-songwriter Frank Renfordt, the creative force behind The Cumberland River Project, offers a moving reminder that artistic reinvention can arrive at any stage, and sometimes the songs that come later carry the most emotional weight.

Now in his sixties, Renfordt has embraced songwriting with the determination of someone making up for lost time. Originally from Germany but deeply inspired by American roots traditions, he has built a body of work that reflects his admiration for storytelling-driven music. And this latest EP continues that journey with a collection of songs steeped in warmth, reflection, and quiet honesty.

Across the release, he handles a remarkable portion of the instrumentation himself, performing acoustic and baritone guitars alongside bass, mandolin, keyboards, and programmed percussion.
