Darwin Deez shares new single 'Say It First'

With his highly-anticipated new album now less than a month away, Darwin Deez has dropped the next cut to be lifted from his forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'Say It First' follows on from the previously unveiled tracks 'The World's Best Kisser' and 'Queen Of Spades' in previewing his fourth LP '10 Songs That Happened When You Left Me With My Stupid Heart', which is due out on the 31st August via Lucky Number Records.

Darwin himself says the track “was really inspired by Justin Bieber’s slightly underrated song “Die In Your Arms” which was a favorite of mine and my baby’s. I wrote this song for her. She was emotionally distant at times, but she had my heart. It sucked. “I smuggle you hugs while you’re working” it sucks to date someone who accepts your hugs begrudgingly at times and isn’t interested in hugging you or anyone else. Writing on electric piano was new for me on this album. When I made my debut on the 4-string guitar in odd tuning, I did it for the same reason that I started writing on keyboard: because I’m bad enough at it that my skills don’t obstruct the writing process. Something I’ve found indispensable for creativity over the years: limitations.”
