With their eagerly-awaited new album now just over a month away, Death Cab For Cutie have now dropped the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Foxglove Through The Clearcut' comes accompanied by a new lyric video, designed by frequent visual collaborator Juliet Bryant, and follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Roman Candles' and 'Here To Forever' in previewing their tenth LP 'Asphalt Meadows', which is out on the 16th September.
Speaking about the new offering, frontman Ben Gibbard said, “Foxglove is by far the most personal song on the record. While I was writing it, I thought I was merely the narrator. But the longer I sat with it, I realized I was both the protagonist AND the narrator.”
