Drew Thomas unveils new single 'Boys Aren't Supposed To Cry'

Drew Thomas returns with his powerful new release 'Boys Aren’t Supposed to Cry', a candid track that reflects on growing up in a small town shaped by emotional repression and rigid expectations.

Drawing from his own experiences, the song explores the internalised pressures placed on young men, particularly around masculinity, vulnerability, and identity. Framed through a lens of early-2000s nostalgia, the single blends confessional lyricism with bold, hook-driven production, capturing the tension between private emotion and public restraint.

The release follows 2025’s 'Watershed' EP, which helped establish him as a rising LGBTQ+ voice in UK rock. Previous single 'Girls Like Girls' amassed over two million Instagram views, while 'Do They Even Know You' received support from BBC Radio 1’s Alyx Holcombe, alongside airplay on Amazing Radio and Total Rock.
