Dua Lipa wins European Border Breakers award

Following on from previous winners such as Years & Years, Mumford & Sons, and Disclosure, Dua Lipa has been awarded this year's European Border Breakers award.

The awards are given to acts who have achieved the most amount of European success in their initial year, with Dua Lipa winning for the UK. Other winners from across the continent include Alan Walker (no), Jaakko Eino Kalevi (fi), Namika (de), Walking On Cars (ie), Hinds (es), Jain (fr), Filous (at) and Natalie La Rose (nl).

The EBBA ceremony will take place at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in Groningen, Netherlands, on the 11th January 2017, which all the winning acts set to perform at the event. You can watch a video of Dua Lipa performing at this year's Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in January below.
