DZ Deathrays announce new album 'Easing Out Of Control'

Fresh from a triumphant run of EU headline shows and summer festival stages alongside the likes of Linkin Park and Fontaines D.C., Australian rock heavyweights DZ Deathrays are back, and entering a striking new era.

Their new album 'Easing Out of Control', due on the 16th January 2026, marks a daring evolution for the band, blending their chaotic riff-fuelled origins with more tender, experimental moments. Leading the charge is their new single 'Real Love', a piano-led curveball that explores the vulnerability of new parenthood, long-term connection, and emotional honesty.

“I wanted it to feel heartfelt but still off-the-cuff and casual — like it just spilled out,” says frontman Shane Parsons. “It’s definitely a different moment for us, but I think it opens the door for our sound to go anywhere.”

Originally envisioned as two separate EPs, 'Easing Out of Control' took on a life of its own during two home-studio sessions, with a guest bass spot from Luke Henery (Violent Soho). The result is a record that weaves together moments of raw euphoria, synth-soaked dance-punk, and deeper introspection, all without losing the signature DZ bite.
