Earl Sweatshirt announces new album 'Some Rap Songs'

Having kept himself busy with features and the occasional standalone single these last few years, Earl Sweatshirt has now announced his plans for a new studio album, arriving next week.

The new full-length 'Some Rap Songs' follows on from his 2015 LP ‘I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside’, is being previewed by the Navy Blue collaboration 'The Mint', and is set to arrive digitally on the 30th November via Tan Cressida/Columbia Records, with a physical release expected in January.

Inspired by the death of his father, the rapper said of the new release, “Me and my dad had a relationship that’s not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one. Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but it’s literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.”
