London outfit Fat Dog continue the build towards their second album with new single ‘Call It What You Want’, a frantic collision of post-punk aggression and rave-ready electronics.
Recently named Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, the track is the fourth preview of 'Cancel Me (I’m Tired)', which arrives on the 2nd October through Domino. Beneath its explosive production sits a more personal concern, with frontman Joe Love examining problems within his family and questioning whether the same patterns could eventually emerge in his own life.
‘Call It What You Want’ also arrives with a suitably chaotic live video filmed during Woofstock, Fat Dog's recent outdoor pop-up show in Bermondsey. Around 500 fans descended on the event for a performance capturing the unpredictable live energy that has become increasingly central to the band's reputation.
The forthcoming 'Cancel Me (I’m Tired)'promises another significant expansion of Fat Dog's sound, moving between electro-pop, rave, psychedelia, orchestral flourishes and even touches of country across its ten tracks.
