Fierce Friend unveils new single 'Put You Right'

Brighton songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alan Grice returns with 'Put You Right', the latest single from his forthcoming album 'Blood Red Hills & The Uncanny Valley', due for release on the 26th October. Under his Fierce Friend moniker, he continues to evolve his distinctive blend of melodic indie songwriting and darker, more abrasive alternative rock.

Driven by urgent guitar riffs, wiry synth textures and tightly controlled tension, 'Put You Right' examines the way everyday disagreements can quickly spiral into something far more destructive. As it plays, the song captures the increasingly confrontational nature of modern communication, where certainty often replaces conversation and small conflicts become impossible to undo.

The track also signals a heavier direction for Fierce Friend’s upcoming album, combining electronic rhythms and distorted guitars with his own sharp melodic instincts. While the music has become louder and more immediate, his songwriting remains rooted in thoughtful observation, balancing hooks with lyrical depth and understated humour.

Following the BBC Radio 6 Music support for his debut album 'Lies That Comfort You', Fierce Friend continues to refine his sound without losing the qualities that first set the project apart. 'Put You Right' offers a compelling preview of an album that promises to explore fractured relationships, social tension and emotional uncertainty through inventive, uncompromising songwriting.
