With his eagerly-awaited new album set to arrive in just a few weeks, Floating Points aka producer Sam Shepherd has now unveiled the next cut to be lifted from his forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Anasickmodular' follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Last Bloom' and 'LesAlpx' in previewing his sophomore LP 'Crush', which is expected to arrive on the 18th October via Ninja Tune.
Speaking about his new offering, he said, "'Anasickmodular' was a working title that stuck. The main pad audio and vocals are from a live improvisation at Dekmantel festival in 2017. At some point on the tour we were in Sydney and Anna (who is half of the Hamill Industries team responsible for the live laser/bubble oscilloscope projections) was ill so, on a off day, I started a new project bringing the modular out of its box, hence the title. The second half of the track was recorded live in situ and is a lot of fun to play live!"
