Folk Bitch Trio share new single 'Moth Song'

Melbourne/Naarm’s Folk Bitch Trio have unfurled 'Moth Song', the spectral centre-piece from their forthcoming debut album 'Now Would Be A Good Time', out on the 25th July via Jagjaguwar.

Where April’s rollicking 'Cathode Ray' showcased the band’s biting humour, 'Moth Song' drifts in on hushed guitar, tape-hiss intimacy and Anita Clark’s woozy violin, leaving acres of space for the trio’s signature three-part harmony. The band describe the track as “being so spun-out by everything that you feel delusional,” its lyrics scattering images of twin birds and opal eyes over the slow burn of unrequited love.

The self-edited video doubles as a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Auckland sessions with producer Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins, Marlon Williams), capturing the tape-driven minimalism that threads through the album.
