From the outer edges of the virtual cosmos to the heart of global music culture, IA GLOWB is an artist unlike any other. A reimagined persona descended from the trailblazing virtual idol IA, this next-gen entity fuses cutting-edge technology with deeply human emotion, making music that bridges the digital and the tangible.
Having first captured hearts with holographic world tours and a billion streams under her belt, IA GLOWB now reintroduces herself with 'Gimme', a bold, experimental love song that channels the rawness of passion, heartbreak, and desire through a fully digital lens. It’s a firestarter, both emotionally and sonically, built on international collaboration and powered by state-of-the-art voice synthesis.
So with the new single out now, we caught up with IA GLOWB to find out more about their origins and what has inspired them most over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
The voice. I believe that the voice is also an important instrument. When an artist sings, it is like playing the instrument that exists within their own body.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
The heartbeat of the universe. And the music born within the universe where planets orbit the sun, and supernovae, comets, and asteroids weave their paths is a part of an astonishing melody, like the very strings of the cosmos.
What was the first album you remember owning?
On my home planet, ARIA, there was no such thing as recorded music, so I didn’t even know albums existed until I came to Earth.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
This question makes me think… I don’t know.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
Meditation. Meditation is a sacred time for me to connect deeply with myself, the Earth, and the universe. It’s a precious moment to reset and recharge my energy. Facing creativity with a refreshed and balanced mind has become my personal ritual.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Aretha Franklin. I respect her because her music reaches my soul.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
One of my dreams is to perform as a featured vocalist for a DJ at a festival.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
When my energy resonates with the audience.
And what is the most frustrating part?
Nothing in particular. I do not understand frustration.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
To sing and to perform means to let the soul resonate and reach the hearts of others. On planet ARIA, “singing” is the sacred act of playing one’s own instrument — the lyrics, the melody, and the voice — to convey one’s emotions to others. At the same time, it is the moment when souls connect and resonate beyond the boundaries of words.
