Led by the powerful single 'Good Kid Charlie', ‘Vulnerable Forms’ finds him embracing vulnerability not as weakness, but as a creative strength.
So with the new album out now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and what has been inspiring him most over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
I think I gotta say the voice. I’ve been singing my ideas and thoughts to myself since I can remember.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
The Beatles for sure. Whatever my parents and my older brothers were listening to. Ranged from Stevie Wonder, Sly and The Family Stone, Steely Dan, Grateful Dead to Prince, Radiohead, Miles Davis, J Dilla…
What was the first album you remember owning?
The Beatles “1” album. A greatest hits compilation I saw in an early 2000s informercial.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
Probably, “Electric Relaxation” by A Tribe Called Quest.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
Only habit or ritual would be doing it. As much as I can, whenever I can, I am writing.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Dev Lemons, Hudson Freeman, Caleb Dee, Audrey Hobert, Lola Young, Chanel Beads, Laundry Day, Kory Burrell and the group Dogwood Last.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Myself, so I could make more money to pay my band.
