Boston punk trio Linnea’s Garden return with their latest single 'Stop Codon', a high-energy release that blends punchy riffs with a sharp sense of purpose. Led by founder and vocalist Linnea Herzog, the band channel their signature mix of danceable punk, riot grrrl attitude, and goth-infused edge into a track that tackles toxic habits and emotional overload head-on.
Formed in 2020, Linnea’s Garden have steadily built a reputation for their vibrant live performances and infectious songwriting, releasing multiple records and touring across more than 18 states. From their pandemic-born debut EP 'Nowhere Friday Nights' to albums like 'Fashion Show' and 'Mirrors', the Boston-based trio have continued to expand their sound while championing a queer femme perspective within punk.
So with the new single out now, we sat down with them to find out more about their origins and what has been inspiring them most over the years.

My blue acoustic guitar, which I still play to this day.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

Blood Sugar Sex Magik - see above.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
The song I haven’t written yet.

David Bowie, The Cure, Pixel Grip, The Mars Volta, Nine Inch Nails.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Iggy Pop.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
Constantly evolving whilst staying true to myself and getting to share it with the world.

Honestly, nothing. It comes with its ups and downs, but I live for the work.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
“We’re artists - we take the worst and we make it the best.”
