What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

Piano, I love the raw sound and feel of the keys. I always start writing on my keys. Ever since I was small I wanted to play around and experiment with chords.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

I went through stages growing up, folk, pop, grunge, rock and electronic.

What was the first album you remember owning?

Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

Hand In My Pocket, Alanis Morissette. Relate with every lyric.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

I always start on keys, playing with chords until I find an arrangement that catches my emotions. I cut myself off from the world until I am happy a song is complete. I need to stay within that current state and be completely absorbed by how I'm feeling. Ensuring no outside influence.

Olivia Rodrigo, Imagine Dragons, Teddy Swims, Beyonce.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

Lady Gaga or Paloma Faith. Both incredible females in music.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

Actually transposing the music from my brain to a finished sound piece for my listeners to hear and feel. That still blows my mind to this day.

And what is the most frustrating part?

The struggle as an independent artist. Having to do everything all by yourself, It’s hard but rewarding.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

Stay true to your art. Not everyone likes Picasso or Mozart, but look how far they have come.
