What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

First instrument I fell in love with was an acoustic guitar! I’ve always had one but never practiced enough in my opinion.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

I loved listening to Eminem and 2pac when I was a kid. I remember the first Eminem cassette tape I had. I was singing the songs to myself in 2nd grade and my teacher overheard me. She eventually told my parents. They took the cassette and I never got it back haha.

What was the first album you remember owning?

First album I owned was Limp Bizkit - chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water. I got it from someone random for Christmas and ended up trading it for the Eminem cassette.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

8 mile by Eminem. I love the movie and soundtrack.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

I drive in my car endlessly playing random beats from YouTube.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

Brent faiyaz. He’s my favorite artist at the moment because he’s from the area I’m from and has the biggest influence on the type of music I create.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

Drake.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

Self expression. I write when I’m stressed and need to get things of my chest.

And what is the most frustrating part?

Most frustrating part is having a song ready and loving it but when I record it, it doesn’t come out how I want and that really brings me down.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

I don’t recall anything specific but I watch Russ on TikTok a lot and he gives great advice on releasing music and how to go about it. I tend to hold on to my songs and never release them. He says to just let go and release it because you never know what song will takeoff.
