Having already established himself with a wealth of warm and riveting releases these last few years, Dublin-based singer-songwriter Pauric O'Meara returns to the fold once again with his shimmering new single 'Adore'.
Capturing more of that warm and wistful indie-folk aesthetic he has been building for himself over the years, 'Adore' makes for a beautifully sweet and tender listen. With his heartfelt vocal performance layered across a compelling production from start to finish, he continues to shine as a wondrous addition to the new music scene right now.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and what has been inspiring him most over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
The Drums. From an early age I broke my mothers heart breaking all her wooden spoons and damaging her pots and pans, and my parents eventually caved and bought me a drum set when I was 8!
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
When you have older siblings, your music taste tends to come from them. My sister loved everything from the Kooks to Evanescence, and my brother was a major fan of Kings of Leon, so they were always my go to and I still listen to these bands today.
What was the first album you remember owning?
Under the cork tree, Fall Out Boy. Best album one could own.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
Hypersonic Missiles, Sam Fender. Sums up the state of today's world better than any politician or influencer could.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
Not really, my writing tends to be quite sporadic, usually directly after an experience in my own life or in the life of someone close to me. Its my method of dealing with my thoughts, and I find this way it keeps my writing natural and free flowing.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Sam Fender is always on repeat for me. I've found a new love for Kojaque in recent years too, his lyrics are next level. Audible Chocolate are an upcoming Irish Band that everyone needs to get on real soon too, songwriting beyond what most can achieve with words.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Again, Sam Fender, I swear I’m not obsessed.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
Playing live shows and hearing a room full of people sing words that came from my own head. It never fails to baffle me. The love I have for my fans is next to none, there is no better feeling than what they give to me.
And what is the most frustrating part?
The question of ‘okay, what now?’. We all do it, anyone who says they don’t are lying. We work hard to release music / sell out shows, and once that buzz has cooled, its straight onto the next, and sometimes we forget to enjoy what we have just achieved as our focus switches to the future so quickly.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
Release real music, gain real fans. It's easy to fall into the algorithm trap these days, and it might get you lots of likes on TikTok, but you can’t depend on that alone for shows. Real connections need to be made, we’ve sold a lot more tickets than we have Tik Tok Followers, and that’s what we hope we will always do.
