Art-pop artist Gintsugi returns with the striking new single ‘Battlefield’, a cinematic and emotionally raw release exploring the fragile line between passion, conflict and emotional conditioning within modern relationships.
Built around hazy late-night atmospheres, intimate lyrical exchanges and swelling production, the track captures couples caught between closeness and collapse while quietly challenging the idea that love must always come hand-in-hand with suffering. Rather than leaning into melodrama, ‘Battlefield’ unfolds with subtle emotional tension, asking whether chaos in relationships has become romanticised rather than questioned.
Written and performed alongside producer FAV, the single pairs lush analog textures with vulnerable vocal delivery, while mastering from Maurizio Sarnicola at Goldmine Records adds further depth and warmth to the release.
Following collaborations with renowned producer Victor Van Vugt, Gintsugi is now preparing the upcoming EP 'Strangers', recorded between France and Italy and scheduled for release this autumn.
