With their eagerly-awaited new album landing in the coming months, Girl Ray have now dropped the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Up' follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Everybody’s Saying That' and 'Hold Tight' in previewing their third LP 'Prestige', which is out on the 4th August via Moshi Moshi.
Speaking about the new offering, the band's Poppy Hankin said, “Written at the beginning of my current relationship, “Up” deals with all the emotions of a fledgling romance: adoration, self-doubt, and everything in between! Musically we wanted to pay homage to the sparseness of Queen’s “Cool Cat”, and the groove of Bowie’s “Fame””.
