British alt-rock duo Guild Theory unveil a new chapter with 'The Statesman', the first single from their upcoming release 'The Hardback EP', which is set to arrive early next year.
Marking a shift from their progressive and post-rock roots, the track leans into warm folk-rock textures inspired by bands like Midlake, revealing a more introspective and melodic side of the band. Built around lush instrumentation, rich harmonies, and a narrative-driven lyricism, 'The Statesman' sets the tone for the EP’s literary and emotive themes.
It’s a departure, but a confident one, from the heavier soundscapes of their recent releases 'The Mellified Man' and 'Vampiric Desires', and we can't wait to hear what this new EP has in store for us as well.
