Guitarist and founding member of Franz Ferdinand, Nick McCarthy, has announced that he has left the group.

Having been part of the band since its conception in 2002, McCarthy announced his decision to leave in a joint statement with the group. But don't fret yet, as all the parties involved seem to have parted on mutual terms and seem to confirm that the band will continue without him.
