After originally establishing himself as a member of Sydney-based jazztronica duo F00L over the last few years, emerging newcomer Harry Klein is now ready to break out on his own and delivers his captivating debut single 'Running Out Of Time'.
Channelling a wonderfully rich and dynamic aesthetic that harks back to the early days of James Blake, 'Running Out Of Time' makes for a brilliantly fresh and vivid introduction to his sound. With its light and effervescent textures layered elegantly against his own shimmering vocal style, he is certainly kicking off his new solo guise in style with this one.
Speaking about the new offering, he said, “On a personal level, this track is about the need to create, and the feeling of forever trying to catch up on lost time. This drive to produce work against time can be a key motivator but it can also leave me trapped in an endless striving for some ideal state of productivity. On a more universal level, this track unconsciously stems from the anxiety of our ever increasing loss of time to stop our climate crisis.”
Although he has been part of the scene for some time now, Harry Klein's latest venture is a broad and refreshing reinvention for himself. With such a warm and embracing direction and confident grasp over his songwriting and sound, we can't wait to hear where he takes it next.
