After establishing themselves with a flurry of fresh and enticing offerings these last few years, Liverpool-based outfit The Ivies now look to cross the first major milestone of their careers so far with their shimmering debut EP 'Reflections'.
Taking their cues from the classic 70s psych-rock sound, rebranded for a modern ear, this new four-track collection makes for a wonderfully distinctive and alluring listen. Filled with rich and soaring energy, a vibrant atmosphere, and stellar hooks from start to finish, 'Reflections' cements them as one of the more exciting names on the rise right now.
While their early output has been sporadic so far, 'Reflections' feels like a bold and exciting step forward for their sound to date. With such an adventurous and innovative approach to their songwriting throughout, they are definitely ones to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead.
