Jake Bugg returns with new single 'Never Said Goodbye'

Jake Bugg returns with 'A Modern Day Distraction' (Deluxe Edition), a special expanded release of his acclaimed seventh album, arriving on the 24th October via Lovebugg. The deluxe version includes four new tracks, led by the powerful new single 'Never Said Goodbye', a stirring, guitar-led ballad shaped by personal loss and reflection.

Speaking on the track, Bugg said, “It’s about losing someone close unexpectedly… It’s happened to me, so it means a lot personally.” Wrapped in emotive strings and grounded by Bugg’s signature grit, the song channels grief into something quietly redemptive.

The deluxe edition adds 'Oblivious', 'Too Late Now', and 'Feels Like The Sunshine' to the original tracklist, offering a fuller picture of an album rooted in social frustration and personal truth. Available on white vinyl, CD with a 16-page booklet, and digitally, the release reinforces Bugg’s status as one of Britain’s most enduring and vital songwriters.
