The Jesus And Mary Chain announce first album in 18 years

Having got back together in 2007 after an eight-year break-up, The Jesus And Mary Chain have announced their plans for a new studio album, their first in 18 years.

The new full-length 'Damage And Joy' will become the band's first studio release since 1998's 'Munki', and seventh overall, and is set to be released on the 24th March via ADA/Warner Music. The record has been produced by Youth, and will also feature touring drummer Brian Young and former Lush bassist Phil King.

The lead single 'Amputation' is due to be premiered on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6Music show later today from 4pm (8th December).
