US artist Jonivan Jones returns with his latest single 'Take my Heart (to its grave)'.
Rooted in traditional folk and blues influences, the track blends raw acoustic textures with a haunting, atmospheric edge. Built around resonant guitar work and upright bass from collaborator Mike West, the song creates a stripped-back yet immersive sound, further shaped by mastering from James Plotkin.
Lyrically, the single reflects on emotional fatigue and the weight of persistence, capturing a moment of surrender after pushing through personal struggles. Its tone leans into a reflective, almost meditative space, offering a sense of release through acceptance.
Recorded across Central Arkansas and Texas Hill Country, the track draws on a sense of place, reinforced by a music video filmed in West Texas landscapes including Marfa, Alpine, and the Davis Mountains.
