Composer, pianist and multidisciplinary artist Karen Salicath Jamali returns with ‘Only In Love We Are’, a folk-inspired new single that marks a gentle shift in direction for the internationally recognised musician.
Following a wealth of vibrant singles already this year, the track moves away from her familiar solo piano and meditative compositions, placing warm vocals, acoustic guitar and understated percussion at the centre of its sound. The result is an intimate and reflective piece built around a message of compassion, presence and human connection.
The song draws from her own life-changing experience following a serious head injury in 2012, after which she began composing music spontaneously. Inspired by a near-death experience, ‘Only In Love We Are’ reflects on love as a guiding force and a source of meaning during times of uncertainty.
Mastered by Maria Triana, the single continues her broader creative mission of making music that encourages stillness, reflection and emotional healing. With its calming arrangement and uplifting message, ‘Only In Love We Are’ offers a personal yet universal reminder to reconnect with what matters most.
