When Kate Nash released her breakthrough debut album 'Made Of Bricks' back in 2007, the frontwoman quickly became the figurehead of the snarly, punk-inspired side of the indie scene that managed to penetrate the peripheries of the mainstream. Yet while those days may seem like a distant memory now, Nash has still been fairly prolific ever since, as she returns with her most personal record yet in the form of 'Yesterday Was Forever'.

Since releasing her 'Agenda' EP last year, she has begun a mission to be more open about her mental health issues with anxiety and OCD, and it is that level of true honesty that drives this new record. Whether it be heartbreaks, personal turmoil or feelings she can't control, Kate Nash has completely opened herself up on her fourth full-length, and as a listener, we begin to truly admire her passion and charisma as she works her way through each track.

While the record's production may not have that instant grab factor like her older material, the subject matter really strikes a chord on this release. 'Yesterday Was Forever' shows a more mature Kate Nash than one we have seen in the past and shows that she still has plenty to say after all these years.
