Vietnamese artist, songwriter and producer Kiey has shared 'phan thiet', the lead single from his forthcoming third album 'METROMIRAGE', due later this year.
Blending atmospheric dream-pop with understated R&B influences, the track follows a narrator reflecting on a seemingly idyllic coastal escape before confronting the reality that the relationship now exists only in memory. The result is a melancholic meditation on love, absence and the lingering emotions left behind after loss.
Although its title references the Vietnamese coastal city of Phan Thiết, the single pairs its local inspiration with an international palette, continuing Kiey's distinctive approach to English-language alternative pop.
Following his debut album 'Night To Myself' in 2019 and 2022's 'Sunday Sanctuary', 'phan thiet' signals the beginning of a new chapter ahead of 'METROMIRAGE', showcasing Kiey's continued focus on immersive production, introspective songwriting and artistic independence.
