Middlesbrough duo The Kirk continue the journey towards their forthcoming debut album 'Songs from a Northern Sky' with new single ‘Butterflies’, featuring guest vocalist Liv.
Built around a duet, the track captures that familiar stage of attraction where two people clearly share a connection but neither can quite find the moment to act upon it. Liv’s vocal adds another perspective to the story, creating a back-and-forth that reflects the uncertainty, anticipation and excitement at the heart of the song.
Made up of Ste and Rick, The Kirk have developed an intentionally broad approach to songwriting, moving between indie, pop and dance music while drawing freely from different eras.
