There’s something quietly radical about Kris Dane naming his ninth album after himself. It feels like a return to instinct, a stripping away of expectation, and in that sense, 'Kris Dane' is more an act of rediscovery than anything else.

Recorded in the English countryside with producer Jamie Evans, the album carries a sense of removal from the noise of contemporary music culture. The songs stretch, often taking their time to fully reveal themselves, unconcerned with brevity or immediacy. It's like stepping into a space where time slows down just enough for detail to matter again.
