LA Priest has unveiled 'Rayon', the latest preview of his forthcoming fourth studio album 'Into The Sky', arriving on the 28th August. The new release follows previously shared tracks 'Ever No' and the album's title cut, offering another glimpse into Sam Eastgate's most rhythm-focused project to date.
Opening the record, 'Rayon' pairs warm, uplifting songwriting with hypnotic electronic textures, reflecting Eastgate's fascination with blending synthetic sounds and genuine human emotion. Describing the title, he explains he was drawn to the word's almost mystical quality, despite its origins as a man-made material.
Co-written, co-produced and mixed alongside longtime friend Alex Ridha (Boys Noize), 'Into The Sky' marks a fresh creative direction for Eastgate, shifting from introspective experimentation toward music designed to move both the body and the imagination. Built using a deliberately limited palette of vintage drum machines and synthesisers, the album embraces the spirit of early electronic music while retaining LA Priest's unmistakably inventive songwriting.
