After introducing themselves earlier this year with their shimmering initial offerings 'New Skin' and 'Burying Old Bones', US duo Lake Nakoma now look to cement their legacy to date with the release of their stunning self-titled debut album.
Comprised of Alabama Shakes' producer-composer Heath Fogg and singer-songwriter Colin Woltmann, Lake Nakoma make light work of their first full-length. Filled with broad and immersive textures, a sweeping atmosphere, and some beautifully alluring vocals layered throughout, they are quickly cementing themselves as one of the more captivating names on the rise right now.
Although things may only just be starting up for the emerging pairing, 'Lake Nakoma' shows that they plenty of fresh and enticing ideas just waiting to be explored. With such a firm and confident approach to their songwriting and direction, they are definitely ones to keep a firm eye on for the years ahead as well.
