Austin-based emo and pop-punk project Last Letters is opening the vault with the release of ‘It’s a Shame’, a long-lost track as the first preview of the forthcoming retrospective collection 'All For Nothing: Unreleased, Alternates, and Rarities 2016–2026'
The song dates back to the sessions that produced the beloved 'Means Something to Someone' EP, finally emerging years later as a missing chapter in the project’s story. Filled with wistful melodies, shimmering guitar work, delicate piano flourishes and heartfelt lyricism, ‘It’s a Shame’ captures the emotional immediacy that has become a hallmark of Last Letters’ sound.
The project serves as the creative outlet of songwriter and producer Charles Iwuc, whose love of late-90s and early-2000s emo and pop-punk has shaped a catalogue packed with sincerity, memorable hooks and nostalgic charm. Across the years, Last Letters has quietly cultivated a dedicated following through a steady stream of home-recorded releases inspired by the golden era of bands like Jimmy Eat World, Saves the Day and The Starting Line.
