Lorde announces new album 'Virgin'

Lorde has officially revealed details of her highly anticipated fourth album 'Virgin', set for release on the 27th June. Marking her first full-length project in four years, 'Virgin' promises a bold evolution in sound and storytelling from the New Zealand artist, signalling a rawer, more immediate era in her music.

The announcement follows the breakout success of lead single 'What Was That', co-produced by Lorde, Jim-E Stack, and Dan Nigro. The track has already made waves, climbing to #1 on Spotify US, while also landing at #3 in the UK and #5 globally.

Accompanied by a video filmed across New York City, including a surprise performance in Washington Square Park, 'What Was That' captures the spontaneous, intimate energy defining this new chapter. With 'Virgin', Lorde is back—vulnerable, fearless, and firmly in her own lane.
