Following on from their much-loved 'Quitter' EP in 2020, New Orleans-based outfit loucey are now making their long-awaited return with their breezy new single 'illusions'.
Channelling a rich and shimmering neo-soul-inspired aesthetic this time around, 'illusions' makes for a beautifully warm and endearing return for them. With its broad and immersive textures, sweeping atmosphere, and mesmerising vocals layered throughout, they are returning with one of their more captivating cuts to date here.
While it has been quite some time since we last heard any new material from them, 'illusions' still leaves a lasting impression on their dynamic repertoire to date. With such a firm and focused approach to their direction once again, we can't wait to hear what else they have been working on during their time away as well.
