Low Island drop new single 'Robin'

With their highly-anticipated new album just a few weeks away, Low Island have now dropped the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'Robin' follows on from the previously shared tracks ‘Can’t Forget’, ‘Kid Gloves’, and 'Forever Is Too Long' in previewing their sophomore LP 'Life In Miniature', which is out on the 4th November via their own Emotional Interference imprint.

Speaking about the new offering, frontman Carlos Posada said, "‘Robin’ is named after my late grandfather. Where our previous single ‘Forever Is Too Long’ made some of his words part of the song, ‘Robin’ takes his things: an old recording of my great grandmother and great aunt that I found at the bottom of a chest of drawers in his living room frames the track, and a sample of his piano features in the bridge.

"The theme of memory runs throughout a lot of our music; I am fascinated by the idea that it is something we are almost entirely shaped by, yet really have no control over in terms of the memories we keep and those we leave behind. Flitting through the arbitrary recollections that shape us was one of the main inspirations for Life In Miniature, and I think ‘Robin’ is one of the best examples of that on the album.”
