Cork-based indie songwriter M’ADAM (aka Adam O’Donovan) continues his prolific 2025 release streak with the emotionally charged single 'It’s you'. The track marks his sixth release this year and further cements his status as one of Ireland’s most fearless and thought-provoking voices.
Produced by fellow Cork talent Kealan Kenny (Pa Sheehy, Allie Sherlock), 'It’s you' offers a cinematic and soul-baring portrayal of the end of the world as an intimate moment between two people sharing a final goodbye beneath an encroaching storm. Carried by M’ADAM’s understated vocal delivery and Kenny’s naturalistic, emotionally tuned production, the song refuses melodrama in favour of quiet devastation.
At once a love song and a requiem, 'It’s you” speaks to grief, environmental collapse, and the fragile beauty of connection in the face of annihilation. The single follows M’ADAM’s 2023 debut album 'Horse Food Budget 1984', and offers a glimpse into his upcoming full-length 'Before We Die', a project that promises to delve even deeper into climate anxiety and collective grief.
