Mahalia unveils new single 'Square 1'

With her eagerly-awaited debut album set to arrive later next week, Mahalia has now unveiled yet another cut taken from her forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'Square 1' follows on from a string of previously shared tracks including 'I Wish I Missed My Ex', 'Do Not Disturb' and 'Simmer' ft. Burna Boy in previewing her hotly-tipped debut LP 'Love And Compromise', which is set to be released on the 6th September via Warner Music.

Mahalia has also been announced as YouTube's third Artist On The Rise in the UK, following on from her first being part of YouTube's Foundry Programme to support emerging artists, then being named at the top of YouTube Music UK’s 2019 One to Watch list.

Speaking about becoming the next YouTube Music On The Rise artist in the UK, she said, “I can honestly say that I can’t believe I’m writing this! It is such an honour to be chosen as YouTube Music’s Artist on The Rise! YouTube has played such a huge role in the growth of my career. From posting Arctic Monkeys covers when I was 11 to releasing official videos with them over the years, it has been a real journey and I truly think the best is yet to come. Thank you for this. A million times thank you. I won’t let you down!“
