Italian singer-songwriter Maria Grazia Altea presents an intimate and deliberately unvarnished side of her music with ‘Black Out’.
Written entirely by the artist, who also contributes lead guitar, the single was recorded in a small studio in Tempio Pausania, Sardinia, the town where she grew up. Production and mastering were handled by Benedetta Sotgiu, with the recording shaped by a conscious decision to retain the natural character of the performance
Ultimately, ‘Black Out’ is built around connection. Maria Grazia Altea approaches her audience without distance or pretence, creating music intended to meet listeners on equal ground and leave enough space for them to recognise pieces of their own lives within it.
