Matt Maltese shares new single 'Pined For You My Whole Life'

Matt Maltese has unveiled 'Pined For You My Whole Life', the third single from his highly-anticipated new album 'Hers', set for release on the 16th May via The Orchard. Following the emotional depth of lead singles 'Anytime, Anyplace, Anyhow' and 'Always Some MF', the new track offers another glimpse into the heartache, longing, and raw honesty that define the record.

Rooted in classic soul and Motown influences, 'Pined For You My Whole Life' channels grand, yearning emotion through lush instrumentation and Maltese’s signature heartfelt lyricism. The track embraces the romantic desperation that has become a hallmark of his songwriting, yet finds joy in its unabashed sincerity.

“Potentially the most amount of yearning I’ve done in a song. Which is saying something,” Maltese shares. “Musically, the song was a true joy to make, and is heavily inspired by all the Motown and soul I was grown up with. I’m not ashamed to say I get a lot of joy out of writing boldly pathetic declarations of love through the veil of American-leaning soul music.”
