The second glimpse of forthcoming EP 'Element 3', ‘Daydream’ finds MOLTENO looking back at a relationship she knows was damaging, yet discovering that time has softened its edges. But rather than escaping the past, she explores the strange temptation to romanticise it, transforming something painful into a gorgeous, rose-tinted fantasy.
Circling analogue synths and arpeggiators mimic unwanted thoughts repeatedly returning, while programmed and live drums provide a pulsing foundation beneath dreamy synth strings and MOLTENO's otherworldly vocals.
Following ‘Treading Water’, the single continues the aquatic world of 'Element 3', the water-focused instalment of her ambitious four-EP series exploring humanity's relationship with nature.
