Philadelphia band Moonroof have released their latest single 'Massachusetts'.
Blending early-2000s alternative rock with pop-punk energy, the track introduces a heavier, more driving edge to the band’s sound. Built around punchy instrumentation and melodic hooks, the song also incorporates layered vocal samples, adding a contrasting, atmospheric texture to its more distorted core.
'Massachusetts' is inspired by the band’s experiences while touring, with its narrative shaped by a surprising discovery made on the road. The lyrics offer a dual meaning, allowing the track to be interpreted both as a relationship story and something more unconventional, marking a shift from the band’s usual themes.
Recorded at Little Brother Audio in Philadelphia and produced by Tyler Ripley Lewis, the single highlights Moonroof’s evolving approach to songwriting and production.
