Noah & The Whale's Fred Abbott announces new solo album 'Serious Poke'

After Noah & The Whale announced they were splitting up earlier this month, guitarist and keyboardist Fred Abbott has become the first member to officially announce his new solo project.

His debut album 'Serious Poke' will be available from the 20th July via Lojinx, and he has already released his lead single 'Funny How Good It Feels' as a free download.

In a statement about the record, Abbott said, “If you attended a Noah And The Whale soundcheck at any time in the last five years, then you probably heard me, Urby, Mike and Tom jamming some of these songs. Last year while the band was on hiatus I took the opportunity to record them properly, with the boys from NATW and some other talented friends. Now that Noah has officially split the time seems right to put this stuff out there. Enjoy!”
