As the twelve nominees of this year's prize was whittled down throughout the last week, fast-rising rapper Pa Salieu was named as the BBC's choice for the Sound Of 2021.
After originally making his mark with the debut mixtape 'Send Them To Coventry' in the middle of last year, the 23-year-old has quickly become one of the standout names of the UK rap scene, adopting a more lyrical and narrative-driven direction than most. His distinctive energy and story telling focus has been praised by hundreds of publications throughout 2020, and it looks like this new year is set to get even bigger for him.
