Following on from the release of their highly-praised studio album 'don't dream of this' earlier this year, emerging Midlands-based outfit passive fix return once again to unveil their driven new single 'red lights'.
Capturing more of that rich and groove-filled indie-rock direction they have been establishing for themselves in recent years, 'red lights' makes for a brilliantly infectious listen. Filled with warm yet haunted textures, a pulsing atmosphere, and swaggering sax hook added for good measure, they are cementing themselves as one of the more distinctive names on the rise right now.
While they have certainly made a name for themselves with such an inventive run of releases of late, 'red lights' shows that they still have plenty of bold and adventurous ideas in which to explore. With such an original sound running throughout, they are definitely ones worth keeping an eye on for the months ahead.
